Fargo episode review: Eating the Blame

I have to wait a whole week for this show?!

To say that Fargo is gripping is to severely understate its quality. Fargo has a way of pulling you in to its stories, and not even letting you up for air when the episode ends. I have to see what happens next, but the next episode doesn't air until Tuesday. Tuesday! Waiting that long for this show is torturous.

The plot threads are coming together: Gus has met Molly, and they're working together to nab Lorne. Meanwhile, Lorne has a disguise, and its alibi is perfect. We're halfway through the season, and Lorne continues to be lovable to hate. We love seeing what he'll do next, but we hate that he's always two steps ahead. If ever there's a time when we don't know what will happen, it'd be now. The episode ends with Gus and Molly wondering what to do next, after Lorne has outwitted them. That question will linger over the entire waiting period.

Meanwhile, Lorne has elected to unleash biblical torment on Stavros. In addition, the drugs put in his pharmaceutical container are starting to take effect. Here, we see that Stavros had a past where he found a bag of money, which gave him a belief in god. This belief is what Lorne's playing on. This plot thread looks like it'll take Stavros straight to Lorne to pay the ransom.

Finally, with Lester, he's being hunted by Mr. Numbers and Mr. Wrench. Where the episode ends up is with all three of them sharing a cell-Lester having previously been kidnapped and having punched a police officer to get back to town. If that's not an excellent cliffhanger, I don't know what is. So, will Lester finally confess his crime? Will he be interrogated regarding Lorne Malvo? What will happen next on this brilliant, brilliant piece of television?

We won't know until Tuesday.
